I AM a software engineer with extensive experience building server-side applications in Go, Kubernetes/Cloud Native technologies, MCP servers, and open source. As a former engineer and maintainer of the Velero and Knative open source projects, I’ve led efforts to enhance scalability, resilience, and developer experience in complex distributed systems.

Never before have the stakes been higher for failing to grok what’s unfolding around us.
As increasingly complex systems emerge at accelerating speed, the divide will only widen between those who solely consume and those who actively pursue understanding and agency. Ultimately, the new generation of emergent systems we design (and the shifts they bring) will favor those who deeply grok the essence, value, and purpose of both our human nature and the rising potential of non-human machine organisms.
I spend a lot of time thinking about how the future is being decided right now. We all have a chance to participate, influence, and even contribute to building it.
